Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques has established in the year of 2017 – 2018  to be part of the scientific departments in (RUC). The department staffed with number of professors who have a ph.D and Master degree, in addition to the technical staff, the students study in a specialized laboratories that has equipped with the best modern laboratory equipment which participate effectively in the development of the student’s practical abilities as well as its synchronization with the requirements of the theoretical side at the level of each subject.

Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques is one of the important department of medical group due to its effective role in supplying the necessary working staff in the pathological analysis field at laboratories of Ministry of Health and the private sector, in addition to its role in supporting the scientific and research aspect by investing teaching staff role in the research scientific field.

Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques has established according to the scientific development method and adopting the basic structure on which the department is based on, as well as the scientific development has an effective role in diagnosis and treatment of many medical conditions.

The department has to open all knowledge and methodological horizons to expand and build linkages with the corresponding institutions and departments to completing the diagnostic mission that helps the beneficiary to have accuracy and speed in diagnosing pathological conditions.

1- The department aims to preparing professional staff specialized in pathological analyzes field, in addition to all tests of laboratory analysis nature, that graduate after passing four years of studying be able to work in public and private health institutions.

2- Contributing effectively to scientific research by investing the department’s laboratories in helping the professors and specialists to complete the scientific research requirements.

The student can work in the medical laboratories of the Ministry of Health, as well as the private sector laboratories, research centers that follow the research methodology to have the results and attach it to the beneficiary, laboratories of the laboratory and analytical category and in all institutions and public sectors, investing practical knowledge in the field of laboratory devices and maintenance it, and in the food and chemical laboratories.
