Under the patronage of Professor Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Shaeer, the respected Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, and in conjunction with the 16 Days Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the Women’s Affairs Unit, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Bushra Al-Obaidi, held an educational awareness seminar titled “Child Marriage and Its Reflections on Social Reality and Developmental Fields” on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Abdullah, the administrative supervisor of Building Annex No. (1) / Al-Bunook. The seminar was prepared and delivered by Ms. Hana Edwar, the President of the Iraqi Women’s Network, and Ms. Amal Kabashi, the Executive Director of the Iraqi Women’s Network.
The seminar discussed the issue of child marriage, focusing on its negative impacts on society and developmental fields.
