Department of Physical Therapy was established in the Faculty of Al Rafidain University College at the end of 2017, after the Ministry of Higher Education directed the Colleges of the private sector to open specialized department in Physical Therapy field, after a field study by physiotherapy specialized committee and due to the increased disabilities and physical injuries that accompanied the unusual circumstances of the country, the physiotherapy specialized committee gave recommendation to start the Department of Physical Therapy and Medical Rehabilitation, The college decided to open the department of Physiotherpay Techniques and support it with all possible resources so that department would be distinguished in its laboratories and classrooms.

 The Physical therapy is an art and important science that is important in the development of health and prevention of disease and injury through the understanding of human body movement, the physiotherapy works to correct and reduce the effects of disease and injury,

Our messages include Assessment and treatment of the disease, case Management, supervision of physiotherapy services and working personnel, Consultation with other health systems, the preparation of records and reports and participate in the planning for community, projects, future plans and evaluation of educational programs.

Physical Therapist is a person with a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree in physiotherapy.

3-Providing the graduates with technical skills to use modern physiotherapy equipment in hospitals, sports medicine, youth ministry, Olympic committee, sports federations and rehabilitation centers.

4-Providing high quality educational programs that keeps up with the latest developments and to put strategic plans for the follow-up and continuous training for the implementation of treatment programs.

5-Encouraging and support of scientific research in the field of physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation.

6-Strengthening the relations with the health and service sectors and related community institutions through the opening of outpatient clinics that provide services to the patients in its advanced laboratories after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education.
