Professional Ethics and Their Role in Peaceful Coexistence
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Sheir, Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, a seminar titled “Professional Ethics and Their Role in Enhancing Peaceful Coexistence and Promoting Values Among Employees” was held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Annex Building No. 1.
The event was organized as part of the joint committee activities between private colleges and the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division for the 2024-2025 academic year. It was supervised by Ms. Nada Adnan Taher, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, and Dr. Hussein Al-Jash’ami, Administrative Director of the building.
The seminar was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhair Shaker Sadiq, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Political Science, Al-Mustansiriyah University. She provided an in-depth explanation of professional ethics and their direct connection to fostering peaceful coexistence among employees and members of any institution, whether educational or service-based.
Key topics covered in the seminar included:
• Developing a sense of professional responsibility in the workplace.
• Understanding the ethics and strategies necessary for reinforcing the importance of professional conduct.
• Practicing distinguished ethical behavior to enhance productivity and character development.
The seminar was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, administrative staff, and students, who actively engaged in discussions on the significance of ethics in professional and academic environments.
