The Student Activities Unit at Rafidain University College organized a five players Football Championship for first-year students from February 27, 2024, to March 5, 2024, at Sadrain Stadium on Palestine Street, under the supervision of the sports activities unit coordinators Mr. Salam Abdul Hameed Abdul Rahman and Mr. Ivan Ramzi Hussam, with the participation of teams from various academic departments.
Student Hussein Kamel Khumati was awarded the title of top scorer of the championship, while student Yasser Star Yahya was named the best goalkeeper, and student Karar Haider was recognized as the best player.
The tournament concluded with the victory of the academic departments, with the Department of Computer Engineering Technologies securing the first place and the Department of Civil Engineering coming in second.
The Pharmacy Department was awarded the title of the exemplary team, while the Accounting Department was recognized as the most diligent team.
