Art Exhibition:“Belad Al Rafidain”
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Sheir, Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, the Student Activities Unit hosted an art exhibition titled Belad Al-Rafidain on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the main campus on Palestine Street.
The exhibition was inaugurated in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Samer Saeed Issa, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and supervised by Mr. Evan Ramzi Hossam, Head of the Artistic Activities Division. The event brought together department heads, faculty members, and a large number of students from various disciplines.
The showcase featured an array of remarkable artworks, including charcoal and pencil sketches alongside oil paintings, reflecting the students’ artistic growth, cultural awareness, and creative expression.
Key objectives of the exhibition included:
• Showcasing and nurturing artistic talent among students.
• Enhancing self-confidence through artistic engagement.
• Encouraging individuality and innovation through visual storytelling.
• Cultivating a spirit of constructive competition among participants.
By offering a platform for artistic expression, the exhibition not only celebrated Iraq’s cultural richness but also fostered a deeper appreciation for creativity within the academic community.
