Seminar on Drugs and Their Negative Impact on SocietyDecember 22, 2024
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Sheir, Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, an educational seminar titled “Drugs and Their Negative Impact on Society” was held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
As part of the Joint Committee between Private Colleges and the University of Baghdad, the seminar was organized in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The event was overseen by Ms. Nada Adnan Taher, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division, and Ms. Basma Mohammed Khalil, Head of the Scientific Departments’ Activities Unit within the division.
The session was led by Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Muqdad Salahuddin Ahmed from the Special Training Center for Drug Control, who provided an in-depth analysis of drug abuse, its detrimental effects on individuals and society, and effective strategies for prevention and intervention.
