Faculty Member at Al-Rafidain University Receives Excellence and Creativity Badge

Creative Development Center organized the fourth national competition for mental arithmetic on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Baghdad International Fairgrounds.

Professor Dr. Anwar Jaafar Mohammed Jawad, the head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department at Al-Rafidain University College, received the Honorius Badge of Excellence and Creativity for being the top achiever in mathematics. He was selected amongst the top 5 distinguished scientists in the Republic of Iraq for his distinguished scientific publications, global evaluation, and academic reputation.

Dr. Anwar Jaafar’s academic qualifications are as follows:

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering / Iraq 1983.

Master of Operations Research / Iraq 1989. PhD in Applied Mathematics / Iraq 2000. He has been awarded the title of Professor in Applied Mathematics since 2014. Dr. Anwar distinguished himself scientifically with numerous published research papers, totaling more than 115 scientific papers in reputable international journals, including Scopus and Clarivate.

He has received more than 50 letters of appreciation from university presidents and deans, in addition to four certificates of appreciation from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the occasion of the annual celebration of Science Day for the years 2010-2013 respectively.

He has participated in more than 30 international and local scientific conferences:

His h-index is 17 in the Scopus database and 21 in the Google Scholar database.

Currently, Dr. Anwar serves as the Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Department at Al-Rafidain University College, as well as the Editor-in-Chief of the Rafidain Journal of Electronic Engineering Sciences and the Iraqi Statisticians Electronic Journal.
