In cooperation with the continuous Education Unit at Al-Rafidain University College, the Department of Radiology and Ultrasound Technologies organized a scientific seminar on “Dangerous residues” delivered by Prof. Fayeza Ezz El-Din Gharib – Lecturer in the Department of Radiology and Ultrasound Technologies,
Through the seminar which she addressed several topics, the most important of which is the definition of the dangerous materials and wastes and how to deal with them and control them by identifying the properties of the dangerous materials and residues and the necessity of identifying the indications and labels that are placed on containers of the Dangerous materials, as well as knowledge of control techniques. on these residues and learn about methods of treating the dangerous residues.
The environmental damage resulting from the dangerous waste was also discussed by identifying the types of dangerous waste, the degree of danger, the source of each type, its impact on humans, animals and the environment, and how to deal with it.
The issue of protecting the environment from pollutants of all kinds and in various forms is one of the priorities of the countries of the world’s concerns because of its negative consequences that are life-threatening and their effects on the economies of countries.
