Under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Sheir, Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, the seminar “Our Mission as Medical Professionals in Combating Drug Misuse” took place on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the college’s main building.
This initiative, part of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division’s activities, was organized in collaboration with the Pharmacy Department’s Guidance Unit for the 2024-2025 academic year. The event was supervised by Ms. Nada Adnan Taher, Head of the Counseling Division, and Ms. Basma Mohammed Khalil, Head of the Activities Unit, with coordination by Dr. Ishraq Kazem Abbas.
Lecturer Omar Abdulwahid Saleh presented the session, highlighting essential topics such as:
• Educating patients on the risks of improper medication use.
• Guiding patients on safe and effective drug use.
• Encouraging the reporting of medication-related issues or side effects.
These efforts aim to reduce drug misuse while safeguarding patient health.
