Training Course for Pharmacy Students and Graduates
Under the patronage and supervision of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Shaeer, Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, a training course titled “Resistance Unraveled: Mechanisms, Challenges, and Solutions in Antibiotic Use” was launched at Al-Rafidain University College. The course was held at the main building on Palestine Street, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit. Dr. Bassam Abdul-Rasoul Hassan prepared, managed, and delivered the course.
The course lasted for two days, from October 6 to 7, 2024. The goal of this comprehensive training was to explore the complexities behind bacterial antibiotic resistance. The course delved into the mechanisms bacteria use to resist antibiotics, the global challenges posed by these superbugs, and scientific strategies to mitigate resistance. Participants gained insights into how bacteria develop antibiotic resistance and explored evidence-based methods to combat this growing threat in healthcare environments
