On December 25, 2024, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Shaer, the esteemed Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, and in conjunction with the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, the Women’s Affairs Unit at Al-Rafidain University College, in collaboration with the Accounting Department, organized a seminar titled “The Economic Role of Women in Family Life – A Societal Necessity or a Social Luxury” on Sunday, December 1, 2024.
The seminar was attended by Assistant Professor Nizar Faleh Al-Baldawi, Dr. Hussein Qaitan, and a number of esteemed professors. It was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Asmaa Qahtan, who discussed the significance of women’s economic contributions in improving the conditions of families and society and its impact on economic and social stability.
