Regular Migration and the Risks of Irregular Migration
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Al-Shaer, the esteemed Dean of Al-Rafidain University College, a workshop titled “Regular Migration, the Risks of Irregular Migration, and Support for Returning Migrants” was held on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Conference Hall in the Main Building.
The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, represented by the Department of Labor and Vocational Training and the Labor Migration Resource Center, in collaboration with the Public Relations Unit, headed by Dr. Rana Khudair Abbas.

The session was conducted by Ms. Suha Rashid Alawi, Consultant at the Labor and Migration Center, and Ms. Dunya Taha, Consultant at the Resource Center.

The dangers of irregular migration, including travel without legal documentation, exposing individuals to risks such as exploitation, violence, detention, and unsafe working conditions.

The session was attended by faculty members and students, who gained valuable insights into the legal frameworks of migration, its challenges, and the importance of safe and informed migration choices.
