Anesthesia Techniques Department was established in the academic year 2021-2022 to be part of the scientific departments at Al-Rafidain University College.
It is one of the modern departments that aims to graduate specialized cadres to work in the areas of anesthesia techniques and intensive care in operating theaters, as well as in intensive care units and recovery halls.
For the graduate to obtain a job title (Medical Technologist / Anesthesia)
Duration of study: four academic years.

The department aims to have a distinguished scientific status within the academic community at the local level and to play an active and influential applied role in the medical field by providing the department with the latest scientific technologies, focusing on the practical aspect in education, as well as adopting creative and innovative ideas, projects, and plans.

Training specialized personnel in the field of anesthesia with scientific qualifications, knowledge, and advanced behavioral skills capable of bearing professional responsibility sufficiently and competently to become distinguished members of the healthcare team in hospitals. The department is also committed to graduating trained anesthesia specialists to assist anesthesiologists in providing safe and high-quality healthcare for surgical patients.
